The Storytelling Manual for Architects
Why have I written it?
I’m about to hang up the tools of my trade for something new.
But it felt wrong to push away my keyboard, clear my desk, and simply walk away. This book is my way of retracing my steps, inviting you to join me, and leaving a few footprints in my wake.

What’s the deal?
It’s just £16, plus postage. Apparently, that’s not much more than the price of a couple of pints in certain parts of the UK.
Postage is £2.80 if you’re in the UK and – gasp! – £8.20 if you’re anywhere else. Wherever you are, I hope you feel it’s worth it.
It’s only a physical thing, not an ebook, because I want you to hold it in your hands. It’s got rounded corners and lovely illustrations by Anne-Marie Miller.
You can order it now, and I’ll send it to you as soon as it’s ready. That should be on, or just after, 22nd May 2025.

What’s in it for you?
It will help you think, write and talk about what you do.
Then it will sit on your shelf, ready to nudge and inspire you whenever you need it.
You could give a copy to every new team member when they join (it will be something beautiful amongst all that health and safety stuff).
If you teach architecture, it will give you a lot to talk about – and teach about.
Whoever you are, I hope you find plenty to enjoy.
