It’s funny how often people whose business is communication – and I’m really talking about myself here – can’t quite get comfortable with the words on their own website.
Rethinking those words is constantly on my to-do list, and it’s a task I never quite make time or headspace for. But I’ve now been inspired to adopt a little-and-often approach. It’s absolutely in line with the advice I’ve always given my clients: keep close to your website, keep the words alive, don’t let them gather dust… But did I follow my own advice? Not really.
So, I’m setting myself a two-week challenge, and for the next two weeks I’m going to make word-tinkering a daily habit – a bit of pruning here, a bit of tweaking there. I hope that’ll help me slowly grow to love the words I’m closest to.
