Maybe everyone knows about this, but just in case you don’t, let me shout about it: YOU CAN LISTEN TO PODCASTS AT DOUBLE-SPEED.
I love a good podcast, and where I sit (at the intersection of architecture, marketing, coaching and writing) there are loads. Even if I just focus on my favourites – Rion Willard’s Business of Architecture UK, Ayo Abbas’s Marketing in Times of Recovery, Dave Sharp’s The Architecture Firm Marketing Podcast, Rachel Birchmore and Louise Rogers’ Coaches on the Couch, George Bradley’s Another Architecture Podcast – I can sometimes feel a bit overwhelmed.
But since becoming aware of this little piece of technical trickery, no more.
I love the pace of it, and I love the energy. Occasionally I’ll press pause and rewind to make sure I heard right, but that’s a small price to pay. And now I’m listening to twice as many podcasts, without losing any of their brilliance. In fact, there’s even more brilliance because everyone becomes fantastically fast-talking and quick-thinking, and more fluent than I could ever hope to be.
